Terrestrisk navigation
"Terrestrisk navigation" serves as both a textbook for navigation schools and a reference manual for ship's navigators. The publication contains topics such as Earth's geography, various types of nautical charts (ranging from traditional paper charts to modern electronic ones), methods of determining position, the concept of great circles, navigation calculations, and navigating through the waters around Greenland. As technology evolves, the book provides a comprehensive understanding of terrestrial navigation using paper charts, as well as digital formats like ARCS and ENC. Additionally, it encompasses the navigation syllabus for Yachtskipper 3.
Authored by Niels Holland, this book is the second in a series of four:
1. Teknisk navigation
2. Terrestrisk navigation
3. Sejladsplanlægning, tidevand & astronomisk navigation
4. Opgaver i navigation
The book is in Danish.
