The font,line spacing and paragraph layout makes for an easy and relaxing read. The book is relevant, up to date with excellent pictures and diagrams and includes well-documented case histories. These make the whole book come alive and provides the reader with an insight into the events and adds a human element. Appendix 'A' and 'B' are particularly good to include and the highly informative 'Glossary of Terms'a work of art! Clearly written by a very experienced mariner, mariner surveyor and author, the book covers everything the marine surveyor, insurance agent, ship owner, or studentof shipping would need.
