Bornholm 40 cm

The Bornholm flag is Bornholm's unofficial flag. It was designed in the 1970s by Bent Kaas as a cross flag with a green cross. The green color symbolizes nature on the island. The flag has no historical foundation. It is primarily used in a tourism context on various products. Although it is an unofficial flag, there are many who still fly it – e.g. on vehicles. In 2006, the island was refused to have it as an official territory flag.
