Skibsdagbog - The Ships' Logbook - must be kept by all ships for events on deck. A similar logbook exists for the engine's events. It consists of 176 spreads. The book contains a short introductory guide. The logbook is kept by the master or, under his supervision and co-responsibility, by one or more officers. The person who keeps the diary is responsible for the correctness of their own entered information. If the diary is kept by one or more officers, the diary must be presented at least once a month to the driver, who checks that the book has been kept accurately and in accordance with regulations. The master registers his review by signing in the >Notes and corrections< section on the day the review took place. The diary must be kept properly and clearly, and no page must be left out. What has once been entered must not be erased, crossed out or otherwise made illegible. If a correction is necessary, such must be added as a comment. The book is bilingual; Danish and English.
