Nicholls's Concise Guide Vol.2

A new edition of Captain Coolen's revision of this famous book which enjoys world-wide sales in over 40 countries. His revision includes numerous changes, additions and new features. Sections on the Sailings, Magnetic Compass, Ocean Passages and Tides have been revised and, to a large extent, re-written. Those relating to Radar Plotting, Tidal Calculations and Meridian Passage Star have been complete lyre-written. Information relating to charts and the section on Marine Surveying has been updated. To take account of current practice, a list of symbols and abbreviations has been added, reference to quadrantal notation replaced by 360-degree notation, and terminology relating to celestial navigation updated.
