How it works
Optimizer analyses a planned route against weather forecast data, AIS, currents and vessel-specific performance data. The route is planned in Viewer and combined with continuously updated weather and voyage data to identify potential hazards and opportunities for optimisation. Optimizer then suggests alternative routes and voyage speeds, allowing the crew to compare time, fuel and cost and select the best option to keep the vessel safe, efficient and on schedule.
Collaboration of leading companies
Leading companies in the maritime industry have collaborated to make Optimizer. A weather data service and a Route Optimizer from Optimum Voyage are integrated into the Viewer platform from Weilbach. Along with weather data, Optimizer is accessed via Viewer, our back of bridge tool. These three components allow routes and weather data to be used to get the best route possible.
